Jan Dodonna

General Jan Dodonna was the officer who planned the assault on the first Death Star from the Rebel Base at Yavin. He interpreted the Death Star plans which arrived in R2D2;   and planned the destruction of the first Death Star.

Jan Dodonna had stayed back to evacuate the Rebel Base at Yavin 4; and was initially believed to be dead, but had survived the attack of Yavin.
